Animal Behaviour & Physiology in a changing world

Hello!
I am a Lecturer in Animal Physiology at the University of the Witwatersrand and a member of the Hot Birds Research Project. My research interests focus on understanding the relationship between complex changing environmental conditions and population survival and fitness in wildlife generally. Specifically, I am interested in integrating physiology and behavioural data into mechanistic models to understand species vulnerabilities to changing climatic conditions.
I am a strong advocate for health and fitness in science, due to the associated cognitive benefits of daily exercise, sunlight and activity. Particularly in a career that is characterized by curiosity and critical thinking.
